Are you looking for opportunities to connect with others by engaging in face-to-face conversations? Are there topics important to you that you’d like to talk about with others in the community? We’ll be hosting monthly community conversations for just that purpose. You can attend the next session on Wednesday, July 18 at 7pm.
Each community conversation will begin with an ice-breaker topic, and the discussions will be facilitated by David Thornsen, PsyD. In July, the ice-breaker topic will be “Unusual Experiences” including your stories about ESP, prophetic dreams, ghostly sightings, UFO sightings and more. All who attend are welcome to share their views and introduce additional topics of conversation.
With the increased use of texting, email, and social media, opportunities for personal interactions have become more limited. Studies show that there are many benefits provided by connecting with others. Research suggests that by being more social you can boost your physical and mental health, and lower your risk for dementia. Consider this your invitation to increase your overall wellbeing by meeting new people and sharing ideas at the library.
