What are you planning for Spring Break?  If you won’t be traveling, we’ll have fun activities all weeklong at the Spring Lake District Library.

First up on Monday, April 2 at 10am, we’re hosting a very special visit from everyone’s favorite bookish duo – Elephant & Piggie.  Elephant & Piggie will be available to greet kids and take photos, and we’ll also make a craft and enjoy Elephant & Piggie stories.

Later that day at 2pm, kids 7-12 years old can register to learn basic sewing machine skills.  They’ll get to practice on our brand new sewing machines and create a snake stuffie to take home!  Spots are limited so be sure to register your child today.

On Tuesday at 2pm, Sylvan Learning will be here to help kids explore science, technology, and engineering!  Register your 7-12 year old today so they can participate in activities featuring LEGO Robotics, Math Edge and Super Structures!

April’s LEGO Block Party will be held on Wednesday the 4th at the regular time of 4pm. Children are welcome to drop in to get creative with the library’s LEGO blocks and construct a masterpiece for display at the library.

Thursday, April 5, at 2pm we’ll be holding a Keva Plank Building Challenge. What’s the tallest, longest, broadest structure you can create with Keva planks? Team up and build together to find out!

Enjoy the last day of spring break on Friday, April 6 with a 2pm showing of the hit movie Ferdinand!  Ferdinand is rated PG and lasts 108 minutes.

And don’t forget – there’s still time to complete your March Madness Book Bingo sheet. The last day to turn in a bingo sheet for a prize and entry into the Grand Prize Drawings is April 9th.  If you don’t have a sheet yet, you can download and print one out or stop by the Youth Services desk.
