Are you planning to travel our pleasant peninsulas this summer? Make sure you have your library card! Library users with a valid library card can get passes to over 400 cultural institutions, state parks, campgrounds and recreation areas with the Michigan Activity Pass (MAP).
Institutions like the USS Silversides, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Tri-Cities Historical Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, the Ludington Breakwater Lighthouse, the Muskegon Museum of Art and many more both near and far are participating. Some cultural partners offer complimentary or reduced price admissions while others offer discounts in their gift shop or other exclusive offices just for MAP pass holders. Michigan state parks and recreation areas allow cardholders to print a pass for an one-time entry.
5 passes per week per cultural institution or park per library can be printed, and passes expire one week from the date printed. Passes can be printed out either from home or from the library. Take a look today to see where you can go this summer with your library card!
The Michigan Activity Pass is presented by The Library Network, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Michigan Recreation and Park Assocation, National Park Service, and the Library of Michigan.
