March is Women’s History Month and the perfect time to celebrate the accomplishments of Michigan girls!  On Monday, March 13 at 7pm, author Patricia Majher will talk about her book Great Girls in Michigan History which chronicles the stories of twenty Michigan girls who achieved amazing goals before turning twenty years old. The presentation will be a fantastic opportunity for parents to bring their daughters and sons to hear how hard work and determination paid off for these exceptional young women.

The audience will be introduced to a deep-sea diver, aviator, soldier, jockey, violinist, and more as Majher shares stories of their impressive achievements.  We’ll also learn about the bravery of Dorothy Butler who escaped from slavery to Michigan when she was only 7 years old.

Great Girls in Michigan History was named a 2016 Michigan Notable Book.  Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing following the presentation.
